The Spring Career Fair connects employers with students from all majors seeking full-time positions only.

Employer Information

Meet exciting new talent from Illinois State University. Join the Career Center for our Spring Career Fair. Learn more about Illinois State's Academic Programs (includes an A-Z list of undergraduate majors). View travel directions to Illinois State.  Event details, such as: parking, shipping, etc. will  be available two weeks prior to the fair.

Register for the Spring Career Fair. Credit card is required. Master Card, Visa, or American Express are accepted. Discover is also accepted, but payment must be made through the Braden Box Office at (309) 438-5444. If your organization is unable to pay by credit card, contact the Career Center. This fair is nearing capacity. New registrants will now be placed in a secondary location.

View the current list of the companies registered for this event and identify those you most want to meet. Or download the official Illinois State University App for free from the App Store or Google Play Store and view the map of the fair layout; the list of employers including: company descriptions, open positions, and majors they are seeking, and other tips to help you succeed at the fair. 


Put your best foot forward at the career fair by attending one of our InstaCareer career fair preparation sessions on February 9th or March 2nd from 4 - 7 p.m. in the Bone Student Center to learn how to introduce yourself, identify what to say, get tips on how to follow-up after the fair, and more!

Put your best foot forward at the career fair by following these career fair planning tips:

  1. Get helpful tips on how to prepare for a career fair. Flip to page 16 of the Career Resource Guide.
  2. Construct an effective resume. View pages 5-7 of the Career Resource Guide. Then, visit the Career Center for a resume critique and/or mock interview by making an appointment with your career advisor or visit the Career Center during drop-in hours. Late Night Resume Reviews will also be held in Milner Library at the 3rd floor study area from 9 p.m. - midnight on these dates on March 13 and 14.   
  3. Prepare for on-the-spot interviews. Visit InterviewStream to get interview questions listed by major and job industry, and practice your answers.
  4. Identify your answers to commonly asked questions. Flip to page 19 of the Career Resource Guide for sample questions.
  5. Develop a 30 second summary of your professional skills, experience and interests. Visit page 19 of the Career Resource Guide.
  6. Watch our career fair video to learn helpful tips for the day of the fair, and a video from one of our career fairs to see what the fair is actually like and get inside tips and advice from students.   7. Be sure to dress the part. Flip to page 17 of the Career Resource Guide for professional dress tips, and page 15 for proper professional etiquette.
  8. Do your research! Visit page 18 of the Career Resource Guide to learn how to do quality research so you can answer the question, "what do you know about us?"
  9. Get a free professional headshot photo taken to use on your LinkedIn profile. Photos will be taken from 4:30 - 6 p.m. (for Illinois State students only). View and access your photos on Flickr. Get yours now as photos will only be available until the end of the semester.
  10. Create your Hire-A-Redbird profile for job searches and resume posting. If you already have your profile created, be sure the information in your profile is current and accurate.
