The Education Career Fair connects school administrators, superintendents, and other employers from the field of education seeking to hire candidates in education and related fields for open positions.
Meet exciting new talent from Illinois State University. Join the Career Center for our Education Career Fair. Learn more about Illinois State's College of Education, Licensure, Endorsements & Approvals. View travel directions to Illinois State. Illinois State alumni and candidates from other local institutions may also be in attendance. Event details for attending recruiters, such as: parking, set-up, etc. will be sent to registrants two weeks prior to the event. The Career Center does not accept or send out fair shipments. Please make arrangements through your own carriers as needed. The Career Center apologizes for any inconvenience.

Student registration for the fair is not required. Students are encouraged to prepare for the fair by downloading the Careers by Symplicity app available from the App Store or Google Play and view the list of registered employers. The list of employers attending this fair will be available soon.

Make the most of the fair by following these planning tips:
Attend Career Center programs - coordinated exclusively for education majors: Hiring Tips for Education Majors.
Get tips to prepare for a career fair - flip to page 18 of the Career Resource Guide, then attend our InstaCareer career fair preparation session just for education majors to learn how to introduce yourself, identify what to say, get tips on how to follow-up after the fair, and more!
Construct an effective resume
- view pages 6 - 8 of the Career Resource Guide. Then, visit the Career Center during drop-in hours or Late-night Resume Reviews for feedback.
Prepare for on the spot interviews
- visit InterviewStream to get interview questions listed by major and job industry, and practice your answers.
Identify your answers to commonly asked questions - flip to page 27 of the Career Resource Guide for sample questions.
Develop a 30 second summary - of your professional skills, experience and interests. See page 18 of the Career Resource Guide.

Do your research - review the list of employers registered by downloading the Careers by Symplicity app available from the App Store or Google Play or just click the button above. Then, visit page 31 of the Career Resource Guide to learn how to do quality research on employers so you can answer the question, "what do you know about our organization?"
Create your Hire-A-Redbird profile - to track your internship search and experience, register for the fair, and to post your resume into resume books for employers to find you.
